Dr. David Hartman hales from southern Colorado where he spent most of his childhood working on the family ranch located near the town of Pueblo. He attended Colorado State University where he graduated with both his Bachelors of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees.
Following graduation, he began his veterinary career in west Texas where he worked at Spur Veterinary Hospital in Spur, TX and Hansford County Veterinary Hospital in Spearman, TX. In the fall of 1980 Dr. Hartman moved to north Texas where he started what has become Performance Equine Associates of Whitesboro, TX.
He is an active member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Society for Theriogenology. His areas of professional interest include equine embryo transfer, low-dose insemination, oocyte transfer, and broodmare management.
