Dr. Rhoads is a native of Maryland. He obtained an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Virginia Tech, and graduated from veterinary school at Oklahoma State University in 1995.
Following veterinary school, he completed an equine internship at Kansas State University, followed by an equine surgery residency at the University of Georgia. Prior to moving to Texas, Dr. Rhoads was employed at a private equine hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
He has been employed at Performance Equine Associates since September, 2003. His duties include orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries, and lameness evaluations.
He is board certified both by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, Equine Specialty. Outside of veterinary medicine, he enjoys riding reining horses.
