Surgical Services

A wide variety of equine athletes are evaluated with the western performance horse comprising the majority of cases. Performance Equine Associates surgical facilities include a soft tissue surgery suite, orthopedic surgery suite, a padded induction stall and 2 padded recovery stalls with rope recovery system. Surgeries are performed by two board certified surgeons who are supported by fully trained technicians, surgical assistants, and anesthesia personnel.

The surgical team has a full complement of equipment, instruments, and supplies in order to provide superior quality in surgical procedures. Both elective and emergency surgeries are performed routinely, including but not limited to arthroscopy, laproscopy, fracture repair, abdominal surgery, respiratory surgery, urogenital surgery, and laceration repair.
